So, what's the point of knowing our weight? 🤔
Weight is just one of many indicators used in anthropometry (the measurement of the human body).
When you're aiming to change your physique, like losing fat and/or gaining muscle, knowing your weight is relevant. It's used to determine your nutritional needs along with other factors like your sex, height, age and physical activity level.
⚠️ However, weight alone isn't enough to assess your progress in changing your physique, and it's certainly not enough to diagnose your health status. Even with all the anthropometric indicators, it's still not sufficient to determine if someone is truly healthy or not.
✅ That's why, if you're going to use it as an indicator, make sure to combine it with others like your body fat percentage, muscle mass, how you feel, how you look, how your clothes fit, and more. Also, include periodic visits to your healthcare professional to ensure everything is in order with your body.
