📚 A recent study has shown that A SINGLE intake of 100 g of protein can stimulate muscle mass synthesis for more than 12 hours. 👉Swipe to know what was done and what they find.
At Fitia, you can meet your protein needs and track your meals to ensure you're hitting your targets.
🤨 This contradicts what was previously stipulated: That it was necessary to distribute protein intake throughout the day, since intakes of more than 30 g per meal did not generate additional benefits for muscle protein synthesis.
The study found that 100 g of a protein supplement stimulated muscle protein synthesis for more than 12 hours after a fasted, full-body training session.
🤔Although muscle protein synthesis was only 20% greater with the intake of 100 g compared to 25 g, it remained elevated for longer, resulting in three times greater incorporation into the muscle.

🔍What does the study conclude?
✅ Even if you eat large amounts of protein in a single meal, the protein is still used effectively by the body for muscle anabolism. If you train, it would not be as necessary to divide your protein intake into several meals as previously thought, and muscle growth could be maximized with fewer (but larger) meals throughout the day.
