🍵🆚☕️ Matcha or Coffee? Which one do you prefer?
✅ Both matcha and coffee are popular stimulants, as they contain relevant amounts of caffeine: 1 cup of coffee can contain between 60-150 mg of caffeine depending on the type of coffee and its preparation, while 1 cup of matcha prepared from the usual way (with 2g of powder) usually has between 38-88 mg of caffeine.

⚡️ For this reason, both will make you more alert and improve your cognitive function.
👉 However, there are important differences in their effects:
🍵 Unlike coffee, matcha contains L-theanine, an amino acid that promotes calm and relaxation and also improves cognitive function.
🧠 Therefore, the combination of L-theanine and caffeine in matcha makes you more alert, improves your concentration and, at the same time, makes you feel calmer.
⌛️ In addition, L-theanine exerts its effects more slowly than caffeine, so the effects of matcha are more sustained over time than those of coffee.
☕️ On the other hand, coffee provides a more immediate and powerful energy boost because its caffeine concentration is higher and it does not contain L-theanine.
⚠️ However, in people highly sensitive to caffeine, high coffee consumption can cause adverse effects such as tachycardia, anxiety, tremors, etc.
🏋️♀️ So, if you're looking for a stronger, faster stimulating effect (like when you're going to workout, for example) coffee might be a better option.
👩💻 While if you are looking to be more alert, improve your concentration but without feeling anxious (like when you go to work or study, for example), matcha could be a better option.
