Your progress isn't defined by what you do on one or two days of the year, but by what you do the rest of the time.

💪 Remember, your health and goals are shaped by the habits you build and maintain over time. A single day or occasional slip-ups won't have a big impact because they are isolated events, not patterns.

📚 Additionally, a study (Levine, 1999) aimed to investigate why some individuals gained more fat after the same increase in calorie consumption. The trial involved 16 healthy adult volunteers whose dietary intake was controlled. They were given 1000 kcal above their maintenance level for 8 weeks. Exercise levels were kept low to focus on changes in NEAT (Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis). The study found that, on average, participants increased their NEAT by 336 kcal, which accounted for the largest change in total energy expenditure (~60%). This demonstrated an inclination to increase energy expenditure after overeating, and the greater the NEAT increase, the less fat was accumulated. 🚶‍♂️
