How Do Fitia’s Automatic Calorie Adjustments Work?
When automatic calorie adjustments are enabled, Fitia monitors your progress and adjusts your daily calorie target by about 5–10% when it detects a plateau. These changes help you continue progressing toward your specific goal, whether that’s losing weight, gaining muscle, or maintaining your current weight. How to Activate Automatic Calorie Adjustments 1. Open Fitia and tap your profile photo (located at the upper right corner) 2. Go to Settings > Goal, Calories & Macros > Goal & Calories 3. Turn on Auto Adjustments to allow Fitia to automatically adjust your calories and macronutrients based on your progress. Note: Automatic adjustments only work if you log your weight on the Progress tab. Without progress data, Fitia cannot detect changes or plateaus. Why Use Fitia’s Automatic Adjustments? - Helps break through weight-loss or muscle-gain plateaus automatically. - Keeps your calorie and macro targets aligned with your goal as your body changes. - Saves time by automatically adjusting targets, so you don’t have to recalculate manually.

How Do I Break Through a Weight Loss Plateau?
If you feel stuck with your weight, the first step is to confirm it’s truly a plateau. Weight can fluctuate for reasons unrelated to fat or muscle, like water retention or digestion. What Should I Check If My Weight Is Stuck? - Do you weigh yourself at least 3 times a week? One single weight isn’t enough to see the full picture. - Are you tracking body measurements? Lack of change may indicate a real plateau. - Are you following your nutrition plan correctly? Make sure to respect portions and weigh foods in their correct state (cooked vs. raw). - Do you log foods eaten outside the plan? Even small extras—like 2 tablespoons of oil—can add ~200 kcal. - Are you keeping up with your activity level? If you log “2–3 workouts per week” but don’t meet it, your calories may be off. - Are you sleeping 6–7 hours per night? Poor sleep can slow fat loss and increase appetite. Answering these questions honestly will help you spot what’s holding you back and make the right adjustments to overcome a plateau.
How Often Should I Do a Check-In?
For the most accurate tracking, we recommend weighing yourself three times a week. If that’s not possible, aim for at least once a week.
